Regine Sixt Honored by World Travel Awards at ITB Berlin

Erich and Regine Sixt have welcomed guests to their annual ITB Berlin party for the twentieth consecutive year, with one thousand executives from across the tourism sector in attendance.
Under the headline ‘The Night Winners Meet’, the event also welcomed 60 countries managed by the Sixt brand. Entertainment on the evening was provided by special guest star Heino.
The German music legend wowed the audience with a selection of his greatest hits as well as a number of legendary cover versions. As always the party was for a good cause with donations collected for the Children’s Aid Foundation, founded by Regine Sixt.
The main purpose of the foundation is the worldwide improvement of humane living conditions for children. Her work with the organization was recognized on the night a special presentation from World Travel Awards.
Founder Graham Cooke was on hand to present Regine Sixt Children’s Aid Foundation with the Special Charity Award 2013. The foundation is modeled after the UN’s Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Divided into four program areas including health, care, education and emergency aid, it supports projects of third parties and takes on its own initiatives in order to achieve the defined objectives.
Since the establishment of the Children’s Aid Foundation over ten years ago, numerous relief projects inland and abroad have been successfully implemented.
Together with Sixt and its highly engaged employees in over one hundred countries, the Regine Sixt Children’s Aid Foundation has developed into a relief organization that makes the impossible possible.
Sixt is represented in over 100 countries worldwide and is expanding its presence continuously. The company has partnerships with prestigious addresses in the hotel industry, major airlines.
