Royal Caribbean International Promotes New Agent Incentives
Passengers on Royal Caribbean International’s cruises will be enticed to put down a $100 nonrefundable deposit for a future Royal Caribbean cruise without committing to a date or ship under a new component in the “Next Cruise” program.
Travel agents who originally booked the passengers will be notified and will receive full commission when the booking is confirmed.
The enhancement was among a roster of announcements revealed to agents during a sailing of the Majesty of the Seas this past weekend.
The incentives include deposits for groups on nine-day sailings will be reduced to the same amount as a seven-day sailing and notification to agents about any of their clients who have “Royal Caribbean dollars,” so that the agents can contact the clients and assist with bookings.
E-Connect will be added to CruisingPower.com, Royal Caribbean’s agent Web site. The program will allow agents to send clients e-quotes in a four-color, html page format that includes price quotes, itineraries and 360-degree views of cabins.
In the same breath, agents can sign up for Royal Caribbean announcement alerts with a variety of opt-in selections. Agents can, for example, choose to receive weekly, monthly or quarterly updates, or choose topics such as deployment updates, weather alerts or sale alerts.
