Russian Federation’s Regions Represented at World Travel Market in London
A joint delegation of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Russian regions represents the tourist industry of Russia at World Travel Market 2009 in London. The 30th annual tourist forum is underway at one of the biggest exhibition centers of the British capital ExCel and will come to a close on Nov. 12.
Moscow and regional tourist businesses are represented at the joint stand of the Moscow Committee for Tourism with an area of 258 square meters. Tens of travel companies, hotels and museums, including VAO Inturist, Mosturflot, Krugozor, the Administrative Department of the Mayor and Government of Moscow, Russian Tourist Resources, Metropol, Natsional, Zolotoy Kolos, the Moscow state museum-preserve Kolomenskoye and others, are attending the show.
The tourist potential of Russia’s regions at the stand is presented by the All-Russia tourist coordination council Regions of Russia-Moscow Agreement, the Kaliningrad and Vladimir Regions, the Republic of Tatarstan and St. Petersburg.
Taking into account long-term mutually advantageous cooperation with the Moscow Committee for Tourism and participation of the Russian capital as an official partner in the preparation and holding of the fair here in 2005, the London organizing committee of the current forum provided the best place in the central part of the pavilion for the joint stand.
During one of the world biggest tourist forums, the presentation of the 10th Moscow international tourist fair Tourism and Recreation and the Tourist Information Center of Moscow will be held at the Moscow stand.
