This volume, one of the most “coveted” texts and a valuable tool for students, will once again be present in the crowd-gathering cultural event. This time round it includes nearly a thousand new entries.
According to Dr. Sc. Leonel Ruiz Miyares, director of the Applied Linguistics Center (CLA is the Spanish acronym) —the institution that created this wonderful tool—, as a new element the dictionary features conjugated verbs, which will help students easily learn the language.
The launch of the fourth edition of the Basic School Dictionary is set to take place at 9:30 a.m., "Oscar Ruiz Miyares" Hall, "Abel Santamaria" municipal library, Santiago de Cuba.
Santiago de Cuba’s chapter of the 24th International Book Fair will be held in this city on April 22 - 26, at Heredia Cultural Complex, and it will be dedicated to Dr. Sc. Olga Portuondo, a historian of this province.
This edition of the fair will be showcasing, among other texts, a book written by this researcher, who was given the National Social Sciences Award, entitled Thinking and Existing in Cuba, which puts together essays on figures and institutions that had an impact on Cuban culture between the 18th and 20th centuries.
