SeaDream Adds Buenos Aires to South America Slate
SeaDream Yacht Club modified its slate of 10 South America sailings for the SeaDream I´s 2006-2007 season by offering two Buenos Aires, Argentina, roundtrips in response to a shift in Brazilian regulations.
New customs rules permit a maximum 30-day stay in Brazil for cruise ships; for stays in excess of that time, new labor laws require 33 percent of the onboard staff to be Brazilian nationals.
The nine-night roundtrips include trips to national heritage sites, ecotourism excursions, wildlife viewing, horseback riding, mountain biking, kayaking and canoeing.
The SeaDream I´s repositioning to South America, which was announced last month, will divide its time between two voyage types –the new adventure-oriented trips, as well as the original city-oriented South America Riviera Collection, which target Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires and smaller resort cities like Buzios.
