SeaDream to Pull Vessel from South America in 2007
SeaDream Yacht Club has revealed it will not return to South America for the 2007-2008 winter season due to what it termed a multitude of unexpected operational challenges encountered during its inaugural season in Brazil and Argentina.
The 55-stateroom SeaDream II, one of the line’s two luxury mega-yachts, will be redeployed to a series of six- and 10-day sailings in the Caribbean.
Using St. Thomas and San Juan as embarkation and debarkation ports, Pimentel said the ship will go to “largely smaller, less familiar yachting-style ports” like Charlestown, Nevis; Culebrita, Esperanza and Vieques in Puerto Rico; Gustavia, St. Barts; Cruz Bay, St. John; or Marigot, St. Martin, or various ports around Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands and Saba.
Guests currently booked on affected voyages can rebook on Caribbean or Mediterranean SeaDream Yacht Club voyages of their choice, or cancel with a full refund.
This redeployment will not affect sailings on the SeaDream I, which will continue to operate its published schedules for 2007-2008.
