Silversea Cruises will undertake a major internal restructuring initiative of its top executives, the company said recently. Albert Peter, CEO since 2001, will transition to deputy chairman of Silversea Leisure and Travel, an affiliate company based in Monaco and headed by Manfredi Lefebvre, chairman of Silversea Cruises Holding.

The unit's focus is the pursuit of investment opportunities in the travel and leisure markets. Lefebvre will stay on as chair of Silversea Cruises Holding, overseeing the group's strategy, Silversea said.

Meanwhile, Amerigo Perasso has been promoted to president of Silversea Cruises, and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company, based in Monaco. The sales and marketing, revenue management, vessel operations, finance, information technology, human resources and legal departments will report to him, Silversea said.

David Morris has been promoted to executive vice president, worldwide sales and marketing. He joined Silversea’s executive team in 2003 as senior vice president of sales for North America and was promoted in 2006 to executive vice president of sales and marketing for North America.
