Silversea Cruises has planned several exclusive events and complimentary tours for the Silver Shadow’s second World Cruise, departing Fort Lauderdale on January 16, 2008. Titled “The Rhythms of the World,” the 110-day cruise will visit more than 25 countries and 50 ports on a journey through the Panama Canal, to the Mexican Riviera, Hawaii, the Far East, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Silversea will host three complimentary events for guests sailing the full 110-day itinerary.

These exclusive, custom-designed events will include a gourmet feast and musical performance on the grounds of Honolulu’s Iolani Palace, the only official royal residence in the United States; a three-day, two-night overland event from Ho Chi Minh City to Cambodia to Angkor Wat; and, in Barcelona, a multi-course dinner with wine and the flamenco music and dance.

Full cruise guests will also receive eight complimentary shore excursions to the Panama Canal’s Gatun Yacht Club and tours to Hilo including Hawaii’s tallest waterfall, Shuri Castle in Okinawa, Ho Chi Minh City, Cochin, Oman, Naples and Ponta Delgada in the Azores.

The following complimentary amenities will also be available to guests who book the full 110-day cruise: one-night, pre-cruise hotel accommodations on the eve of departure and Bon Voyage Event at Palm Beach’s Breakers resort; private-car transfer and baggage handling between local South Florida airports, hotel and/or ship; a $2,000 per suite onboard spending credit (based on double occupancy); commemorative gifts; and a gala farewell event.
