Trinidad and Tobago Exec “Can’t Recall” Hotel in Arts Center Plan

According to the Trinidad & Tobago Express, Winston Agard, a former chief executive officer of the Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCOTT), says he “cannot recall” the inclusion of a 59- or 60-room hotel in the original design for the National Academy for the Performing Arts in Port of Spain.

A cabinet member has claimed that he was dismissed from the Cabinet by Prime Minister Patrick Manning last year, after raising concerns about the inclusion of a 59-room hotel during a contentious meeting of the Cabinet’s Finance and General Purposes Committee (F&GP) meeting.
