Ugandan Government Helped Bankroll its Country´s Presence at WTM 2005
The Ugandan government shelled out an undisclosed lump sum of money on hiring space, designing and constructing a stall at the World Travel Market exhibition in London.
The government, the European Union Project on Tourism and the private sector met this cost.
The Ugandan stall will covered a 645-square-foot area.
“The exhibition drew over 4,000 exhibitors from 180 countries. It offered an excellent avenue for buyers and sellers to meet and look at the latest developments in tourist attractions,” Tourism Minister Daudi Migereko said.
Mr. Migereko said his ministry, the Civil Aviation Board, the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) and the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) represented the public sector.
