United Airlines Frequent Flyers Can Now Use Miles for Cruises

United Airlines, a subsidiary of United Continental Holdings, Inc., announced Monday that members of its MileagePlus loyalty program can use accumulated miles, or a combination of miles and points, to take a cruise using United Cruises. United Cruises was launched in 2011.
Members can choose from more than two dozen cruise lines and can take cruises around the world, including Hawaii, Alaska, the Caribbean, South America, Europe and Mexico.
United is offering its cruise-travel programs through a partnership with World Travel Holdings, the world's largest cruise agency.
United Airlines is the second-largest airline serving Hawaii based on number of passengers, according to PBN research.
