Uniworld Grand River Cruises Joins CLIA
Cruise Lines International Association welcomed the European ship unit of Uniworld Grand River Cruises, the second cruise line in less than a week, to its ranks.
“CLIA is delighted to add Uniworld Grand River Cruises as a member line, further increasing the diversity of our membership and river cruising options,” said Terry Dale, president and CEO of CLIA, in a statement.
Uniworld became the 23rd line to join CLIA, the association said, and the first European river cruise company to join. Another river cruising line, Majestic America, joined CLIA on June 1.
Uniworld has eight ships, each carrying approximately 128 passengers on seven- to 28-day itineraries on major rivers throughout Europe, CLIA said. Worldwide, Uniworld Grand River Cruises operates 21 vessels that operate on four continents, including destinations in Europe, Russia, China and Egypt.
Based in Los Angeles, Uniworld Grand River Cruises is part of The Travel Corporation, an international travel and tourism group.
