Venezuela’s RAVSA Adds Airlift between Trinidad & Tobago and South America

Getting to Trinidad and Tobago from the South American continent is even easier with the addition of a new flight from Venezuela to Trinidad and Tobago.

Rutas Aereas de Venezuela (RAVSA), a private airline flying from the eastern Venezuelan city of Maturin, has added a new route from the South American oil giant to Piarco International Airport, the Southern Caribbean’s leading air hub.

RAVSA, which began flying to the destination with two weekly flights (on Sundays and Thursdays) last week, is expected to increase its service to four flights per week. In celebration of the new service the airline has announced specials to Trinidad and Tobago.

The new flight is expected to strengthen tourism and business relations between Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela. The country’s state-owned media AVN reported that the new flight is part of a plan for Venezuela to open new routes in the Caribbean.

This is the latest addition to Trinidad and Tobago’s airlift in the last two months. In February, international low-cost carrier JetBlue made its inaugural flight to Trinidad.
