Winter Travel Expo to Get Underway in Argentina next May

Argentina´s Tourism Department is sponsoring the National Winter Travel Exposition with the help of the Argentine Federation of Tourism Chambers (FEDECATUR is the Spanish acronym). The exhibit is scheduled to take place from May 20 to 22.

The three-day event will unfold at the La Rural compound in Buenos Aires, the country´s largest fairgrounds, and promises to foster numerous promotions, business contacts and negotiations between premier tour operators from around the globe and local impresarios.

The 53,820-square-foot exhibition hall will bring together 1,800 companies linked to the realm of tourism. As many as 15,000 visitors are expected to walk past the turnstiles everyday. The facility will open exclusively for professionals on May 20, while the general public could visit the fair the next two days.

Planned by FEDECATUR, the Winter Travel Exposition will be laid out in the form of horizontal islands under the watchful eye of the Argentine Tourism Department.
