The Young and Restless Turn to EasyCruise for Caribbean Vacations
European cruise line EasyCruise said it was booked solid for its first winter season in the Caribbean and the majority of its bookings are from what it termed "young and independent-minded vacationers."
After completing a successful Mediterranean inaugural summer season, EasyCruiseOne, currently positioned in Bridgetown, Barbados, has now welcomed its first Caribbean winter season passengers.
Offering flexible itineraries that allow cruisers to embark and depart at any port along the route, provided they stay onboard for at least two nights, EasyCruiseOne is nearly 90 percent booked through November.
Unlike a traditional cruise, EasyCruise attracts younger vacationers who would not generally have considered cruising. EasyCruiseOne Caribbean passengers, of whom more than 50 percent hail from the United States, average in age from their mid- to late thirties, 20 years younger than the current published industry average.
In the Caribbean, passengers will be required to be back on board by midnight, as nightlife in the Caribbean tends to both start and finish earlier than in the Mediterranean.
