As of November 3rd this year, the carrier will begin operating two daily flights between Monterrey and Houston, with another daily flight to Torreon. Service to these new destinations brings the number of routes Aeromexico serves with direct flights to and from the Monterrey International Airport to a total of 23.
LAN Airlines inaugurated 787 Dreamliner service at Miami International Airport (MIA). The LAN 787 will operate daily nonstop flights on the airline’s existing Miami to Santiago, Chile route. LAN was the first airline in the Americas to receive the 787 and is now the first carrier to offer 787 flights from MIA.
Southwest Airlines launched initial service to Mexico with inaugural flights over the weekend that bring new flight options offering the value and legendary Customer Service delivered by the Employees of Southwest, the United States' largest carrier in terms of domestic passengers boarded.
Transaero Airlines carried more than 1.5 million passengers last month, achieving the airline’s best ever result for July. Passenger traffic climbed eight percent from July 2013.

Volaris, the ultra-low-cost airline serving Mexico and the US, today reported its preliminary traffic results for July 2014.
The total number of booked passengers in July 2014 reached 1.1 million, an 8.1% increase compared to the same period in 2013.
Domestic and international booked passengers in July reached 861 and 193 thousand, a 4.5% and 27.9% increase, respectively, compared to the same period in 2013.
Volaris' demand, measured in Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) increased 7.7% year over year in July 2014.
Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain announced the launch of direct services to Moscow, the capital of Russia, from 28th October 2014. The airline will operate four flights per week to Domodedovo International Airport – 42 kilometers (26 mi) south-southeast from the center of Moscow and the city’s largest airport in terms of passenger and cargo traffic.
Today’s route announcement follows Gulf Air’s recent commencement of services to a number of destinations including Sialkot in Pakistan, Tehran in Iran and the Greek capital, Athens, this year.
