Two Bermuda resorts in receivership – the Coral Beach & Tennis Club and the Horizons & Cottages resort, were sold by real estate firm KPMG to New York-based investment firms Three Wall Capital and ROC Group, according to local press reports.

Amadeus has announced it is to acquire Newmarket International, a leading provider of cloud-based group and event IT solutions to the hotel industry, for $500 million. It will be operated as a stand-alone business within Amadeus’ Global Hotel Group which will integrate many aspects of Amadeus’ robust products and services over time.

The British High Commissioner to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean says she does not expect her government to revisit its Air Passenger Duty (APD) rate to the Caribbean any time soon. The APD is an excise duty which is charged to passengers travelling on flights from the UK.
