Brazil’s leading airline, TAM SA (TAM), said Monday that it has acquired small local airline Pantanal Linhas Aereas SA for 13 million Brazilian reals ($7.3 million).
Carnival Corporation has posted net income of $193 million on revenues of $3.2 billion for its fourth quarter ended November 30, 2009. Company’s fiscal fourth-quarter earnings fell 48 percent amid falling yields. Net income for the fourth quarter of 2008 was $371 million on revenues of $3.3 billion.
Orient-Express Hotels Ltd., owners or part-owners and managers of 49 luxury hotels, restaurants, tourist trains and river cruise properties operating in 25 countries, has acquired a fifth property in Peru, an existing hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Customers who find their prepaid hotel room available for a lower price (before taxes and fees) on any site, including Orbitz, can receive a refund for the difference and a $50 discount on a future hotel or vacation package booking.
