The St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) and Jay Cashman, Inc of Massachusetts, signed a MoU which SCASPA plans will develop into an EC$83.7 million construction of a second cruise pier at Port Zante which would be able to accommodate two Oasis class cruise ships.

Cruise ship Monarch from cruise line Pullmantur, which starting this month will visit Curacao on a monthly basis, was officially inaugurated yesterday. This will also visit the island on 2014. MS Monarch is the second of three Sovereign-class cruise ships owned by RCCL.
