The resort beach city of Colombia, Cartagena will reportedly register 16% growth in 2012-2013 cruise season as compared to last year bringing an estimated 313,000 passengers to Cartagena. This growth has been characterized by new lines.

Barbados has invested almost $2 million to upgrade infrastructure at the inner basin of Bridgetown’s Careenage as part of a bid to develop yachting as a niche market in the country’s tourism sector. The design for the outer careenage would be able to accommodate around 50 vessels.
