
Cunard Line has detailed the far-flung “World Voyages” the Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth will offer in 2013. On Jan. 10, 2013, Queen Victoria and flagship Queen Mary 2 will depart Southampton, England, and together visit a total 55 ports in 28 countries.

Crystal Cruises is offering new “double bonus savings” of up to $4,000 per couple on select Panama Canal and South America cruises from January to April 2012. The offer is good on new bookings made by Aug. 31 on cruises by both Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity.

According to a report released by the European Cruise Council, the Costa Crociere S.p.A. Group led other cruise lines in Europe in 2010 based on revenue, the number of guests and fleet size. Consolidated revenues rose by 12 percent in fiscal year 2010 to just under US$4.3 billion, while the total number of guests increased 18 percent to 2.15 million guests over 26 ships.

The Big Apple’s thriving tourism industry just got another shot in the arm: Cruise ship Carnival Miracle announced Wednesday that it would make the city its year-round home port. The move, which goes into effect next April and will result in Carnival Miracle making an additional 21 calls at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal.

Royal Caribbean International’s Radiance of the Seas emerged from dry dock after a 21-day renovation. The work is part of the line’s $70 million Royal Advantage enhancement program that is making improvements to five ships this year.

Carnival Corp. & plc revised its guidance for the second half of 2011, citing the prolonged conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as the earthquake and nuclear disaster in Japan. Those events resulted in over 300 deployment changes, which will cost the company an additional 15 cents per share for the second half of 2011.
