Carnival Corporation will launch four new cruise ships in 2020 across four of its global cruise line brands.
St. Maarten received 1,631,537 disembarking passengers from 565 cruise ship calls in 2019, said Port St. Maarten in a press release on Sunday.
The Taino Bay Terminal, under construction adjacent to the San Felipe Fortress in Puerto Plata, is slated to receive the first cruise ship passengers in November 2020.

Carnival Cruise Line has been forced to delay the inaugural sailing of Carnival Mardi Gras. The ship had been penciled in to debut on August 31st next year.
The Port of Galveston has signed a long-term contract with Royal Caribbean Cruises for a new $100 million cruise terminal, Cruise Industry News reports.
