The sixth annual re-DISCOVER the Caribbean Show will take place on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the Sandiford Conference Centre in Barbados.

Some significant anniversaries are being celebrated in the Youth Travel sector at ITB Berlin. It is now 20 years since the Berlin Wall fell, the Youth Travel Centre is ten years old, and the YIG Germany pavilion has been in existence for five years. YIG stands for Youth Incoming Germany.

The U.S. Virgin Islands will host its 16th annual Destination Symposium on St. Thomas from June 15 to 19. The event is geared to tour operators, industry partners and tourism officials.

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office announced that it will host the summit in April 2009 at ExCeL London, the international exhibition & conference center. The London Summit will bring together leaders of the world’s advanced and emerging economies, including the G20, and representatives of international financial institutions to work cooperatively to restore stability and stimulate global economic growth. Leaders will travel from across the globe to attend the crucial event.

The fifteenth edition of MITM Americas, Meetings and Incentive Travel Market, will be held in Havana, Cuba, November 18 and 19 of this year.
