The Dominican Republic’s exquisite Canoa Coral By Hilton Resort will this year serve host to the Caribbean SPA and Wellness Association’s annual trade show. From December 3 through 6, the Canoa Coral by Hilton will receive delegates, exhibitors and attendees for the 2006 Caribbean SPA & Wellness Conference.
The Caribbean Tourism Organization will sponsor its first-ever Caribbean Weekend in Philadelphia from November 3 to 5. The themed event will feature cooking lessons at Macy’s in the King of Prussia Mall and conclude with a Caribbean Village and more than 20 Caribbean exhibitors at the Philadelphia Inquirer/Daily News Travel Show in the Valley Forge Convention Center.

Mr. Christian provided conference delegates with insight into how to reach previously untapped sources of potential visitors to the Caribbean. The workshop discussed how to motivate many different groups of travelers, including those emerging markets around the Caribbean, to visit nearby Caribbean territories.
The 5th Annual Skal International Ecotourism Awards were presented by the President of Skal International, Jan Sunda, and PR and media director Hulya Aslantas during the opening ceremony of the 67th Skal World Congress held in Pattaya, Thailand.
