Hundreds of entrepreneurs and investors will meet in Puerto Rico to participate in one of the island´s premier events: The Puerto Rico Conference on Investment for Development to be held at El San Juan Hotel & Casino, April 18 to 20. The second edition of the Beijing International Travel and Tourism Market (BITTM) opened with a diverse range of exhibitors and Chinese buyers, all eager to get down to business. The Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference (CHTIC) came to a close Friday at The Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda. Founded by the Caribbean Hotel Association (CHA) and the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), the conference´s objectives were once again the improvement of the tourism investment and operating climate across the Caribbean, awareness building of the development opportunities available in the region, and stimulation of a continuing flow of both equity and loan capital into the market.
The 16th annual Jamaica Product Exchange (JAPEX) will take place in Negril, Jamaica from April 23 to 25. JAPEX, sponsored by the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) and the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA), offers a forum for suppliers of the Jamaica tourism product to meet with travel wholesalers and tour operators from across Europe and the Americas, in a professionally organized business exchange. Created in 1990, JAPEX is supported by many Jamaican organizations interested in the development of the island´s tourism product.
