Today, India’s Supreme Court upheld its December 11, 2013 ruling to reinstate Chapter XVI, Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, criminalizing sexual activities “against the order of nature,” including same-sex relationships.

In a competition organized by American Airlines in collaboration with gaycities.com, Tel Aviv won the title of the World’s Best Gay City of 2011. With 43 percent of the overall votes, Tel Aviv far outstripped New York in the number two position with 14 percent.

Gay marriage LGBT travelers can add Cancun, Mexico, to their must-visit destination list, as the city has recently legalized gay marriage. In fact, the first same-sex marriages will be taking place this month in the resort area.

Community Marketing, Inc., based in San Francisco, has released its 16th Annual LGBT Tourism report, which showed that the LGBT community is traveling more. The study was compiled from responses from self-identified gay and lesbian consumers who read LGBT publications, visit LGBT websites, and attend LGBT events. There were 10,000 responses.

Over 75 travel industry professionals representing tour operators, travel agencies, hotel owners, and faculty and students of a travel management institute convened at the 1st Asian Symposium on Gay & Lesbian Tourism, held at the Le Meridien Hotel in New Delhi on 28 November.
