The Miami-Dade Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (MDGLCC) and the LGBT Visitor Center on Miami Beach are announcing the launch of the Pink Flamingo Hospitality Program on Sept. 28, 2011. The Pink Flamingo Hospitality Program will be conducted by MDGLCC partner, Yes Institute, the industry source for knowledge on gender and orientation.

VAX VacationAccess has launched the Gay Travel Showcase designed to help agents sell more effectively to their LGBT clients. Managed in cooperation with longtime gay travel expert Charlie Rounds, the site features the latest in LGBT travel trends, a list of travel suppliers, tour operators and destinations that are selling to this market and paying travel agent commissions, as well as a calendar of worldwide LGBT events, many that may be bookable on VAX.

The Nevada Commission on Tourism (NCOT) has launched a website aimed at the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. The site offers information on LGBT-featured events, as well as on Nevada’s hotels, shows and amenities.

Iguazú Grand Resort, Spa & Casino is offering a new honeymoon package designed for GLBT couples. The packages feature a couple's chocolate massage, daily breakfast in bed and excursions to both the Argentinean and Brazilian sides of the falls. The packages are priced at $1,475, based on double occupancy.

St Maarten Pastors on the small Caribbean island of Saint Maarten say gay tourists must be controlled, according to reports. According to website Joe.My.God, the pastors met last week with Parliament’s Committee for Tourism to present their demands.

The ITB international tourism exhibition, considered the most important professional tourism fair in the world, which took place in Berlin, included for the first time an Israeli stand encouraging gay tourism to Tel Aviv.
