Travel software company Tripware says it is now offering travelers a fast and simple online travel website to book business travel. The company stated that the travel portal, Tripware WebBook, is the first online travel site that has no banner ads, no travel clutter, and no “already checked” travel extras.
Google has launched a new feature for mobile search that helps users on Android-powered devices and iPhones find and download mobile apps. Google highlighted that with tens of thousands of apps available for both Android and iPhone phone, there are plenty of options to choose from when the users are looking for new apps.

Travelport has unveiled a one-stop leisure portal for travel agents called Travelport Leisure. The new travel trade portal is an upgraded version of its former Galileo Leisure portal, which was first launched in 2005. The GDS provider said it took the decision to invest further in its Galileo Leisure offering in response to the ongoing growth potential of global leisure travel spend, which is expected to reach around $700 billion by 2014.
Goby.com, the activity search engine that helps people find things to do with their free time, has released an iPad app to follow in the footsteps of its popular iPhone app. Goby’s location-aware app allows users to quickly and easily find fun activities in their locale or fill their next vacation itinerary with fun things to do in just three taps on the iPad-optimized interface.
Travelocity has formed a relationship with the Green Tourism Business Scheme and flagged hundreds of hotels in the United Kingdom with its green leaf tag. To date, Travelocity has flagged more than 1,700 hotels site-wide with the eco-friendly leaf and the company works with an elite group of certification programs.
