The Wall Street Journal is launching its own online travel agency on Jan. 28. According to the WSJ announcement, the travel agency will offer destinations, itineraries and customized travel packages based on the newspaper’s travel-related content.

Nineteen travel management companies and corporations are currently evaluating and testing 11 new Travets applications that will allow them to better manage their travel procurement and operational objectives.

Traxo, a travel information management system, has added new features and a content partnership with Uptake, a travel search and discovery site that brings together content and consumer opinions from 5,000 sites. It features its top pick hotels, attractions and restaurants on Traxo.

GORP.com, an online resource for outdoor travel and recreation throughout the world, has enhanced its website. The site now includes fresh trip-planning tools, enriched weekend guides, new destination photo galleries and improved navigation.
