Funjet Vacations has added a new suite of marketing and selling tools its Funjet Agent Advantage website (FAA), its marketing and communications online resource center. Included are a “Marketing By Vacation Experiences” section, enhanced 2010 product information and new training videos.
Pegasus, which processes electronic hotel transactions, has introduced a monthly hospitality industry trends report called “The Pegasus View,” currently available online. Pegasus houses the industry’s broadest view of global hospitality industry data. Pegasus connects more than 90,000 hotels to each of the four global distribution systems (GDSs), as well as the majority of corporate travel agencies and thousands of alternative distribution systems (ADSs).
LuvTrip.com, a new niche player in the travel industry, said it will provide planning and self-booking for romance-based vacations. Highlighted worldwide events are honeymoons, destination weddings, weekend getaways, anniversaries and romantic adventures.

The Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) and PhoCusWright Inc. announced a strategic partnership to produce research and innovative events. The agreement covers two principal projects: PhoCusWright’s 2009 Canada Special Report on the Canadian travel market, and the next three editions of TIAC’s Canada-e-Connect conference, the Canadian tourism industry’s online strategy conference.
Norwegian Cruise Line has launched “Freestyle Voices,” an online social media forum allowing guests to post their experiences and opinions to the cruise line’s website. NCL says it is the first cruise line to directly post user-generated content, including reviews, on its main corporate website.
