Anguilla Strengthens Air Connectivity at Routes Americas 2025

The Government of Anguilla took center stage at Routes Americas 2025, held from February 10 to 12 in Nassau, Bahamas, as it pursued strategic alliances to enhance the island’s air connectivity. This premier aviation and tourism conference provided a platform for Anguilla’s leaders to engage with major airline executives, explore new route opportunities, and solidify partnerships to improve access to the island.
The Anguilla delegation included key figures from the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, Housing and Tourism (MICUHT), the Anguilla Air and Port Authority (AASPA), the Anguilla Tourism Board (ATB), and Anguilla Air Services (AAS). Together, they advocated for increased flight options and seamless connections from key source markets, particularly in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean.
American Airlines reaffirmed its commitment to Anguilla, considering frequency increases from Miami and potential expansion into new markets. Tradewind Aviation, InterCaribbean Airways, and Caribbean Airlines expressed interest in boosting intra-Caribbean connections, while St. Barth Executive explored seamless links between Anguilla and St. Barths for luxury travelers.
These improvements are expected to attract new flights, drive tourism growth, and bolster Anguilla’s economic development.
The Anguilla delegation also met with the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and tourism boards from St. Barthelemy, St. Kitts and Nevis, Jamaica, and the U.S. Virgin Islands to explore joint regional promotion efforts.”
The relationships forged at Routes Americas 2025 are expected to play a crucial role in securing new airline partnerships, reinforcing Anguilla’s position as a premier Caribbean destination.
