The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) has unveiled its 2025 theme: “Caribbean Resilience: Crafting Tomorrow’s Tourism.” This theme highlights the region’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and strategic growth in a constantly evolving global tourism landscape.

CTO Chairman Ian Gooding-Edghill, Barbados’ Minister of Tourism and International Transport, emphasized the transformative power of resilience: “This theme challenges us to think innovatively, strengthen partnerships, and invest in sustainability and technology. We must build a tourism sector that not only meets today’s demands but anticipates tomorrow’s opportunities.”

The initiative calls on governments, tourism departments, private sector partners, and local communities to collaborate on key priorities such as climate adaptation, digital transformation, workforce development, and tourism diversification. It also aligns with CTO’s ongoing Reimagine initiative, reinforcing a long-term vision for sustainable tourism.

Gooding-Edghill stressed that resilience is deeply embedded in the Caribbean identity. “Our ability to navigate challenges has always set us apart. This theme pushes us beyond recovery, focusing on transformation and long-term success,” he said. The Caribbean’s rich culture, stunning landscapes, and renowned hospitality continue to drive its global appeal despite economic shifts and environmental challenges.

As part of its 2025 strategy, CTO will host events, workshops, and initiatives to support stakeholders and foster innovation. The goal is to keep the Caribbean at the forefront of global tourism, offering exceptional visitor experiences while driving economic benefits for local communities.

“This theme is a call to action,” added Gooding-Edghill. “It’s about embracing our collective strength and shaping a future where the Caribbean remains a model of innovation, sustainability, and world-class hospitality.” CTO invites all stakeholders to join in making 2025 a year of progress and resilience for Caribbean tourism.
