Spain's Comunitat Valenciana never ceases to amaze with its breathtaking natural landscapes. This time, we journey to the municipality of Quesa in the province of Valencia to explore a magical spot for escaping the everyday routine, relaxing, and immersing ourselves in nature's wonders. Welcome to the Charcos de Quesa, a series of natural pools perfect for cooling off during the hottest summer months.

Four Natural Pools to Unwind

The town of Quesa is located in the Canal de Navarrés region, south of Valencia. About 7 kilometers from the town, you will find the impressive Charcos de Quesa, a picturesque setting surrounded by mountains where you can enjoy a refreshing swim and truly connect with nature.

In particular, you'll discover four natural pools carved by the river Grande's flow: Charco de la Horteta, Charco de las Fuentes, Charco la Bañera, and Charco del Chorro de Corbera. The latter is the most striking, featuring a beautiful and impressive waterfall.

Access to the area is well-marked and easily reachable by car. For those who prefer a more scenic route, it is possible to walk via a linear trail that crosses the river gorge and follows its course. The site is well-equipped for visitors, offering parking, drinking fountains, picnic areas, playgrounds, restrooms, and a via ferrata.

What to See in Quesa

In Quesa, you can visit the local Tourist Office for information on points of interest and explore the Museo Municipal Alberto Hernández and Mercedes Rubio. This museum showcases works by local artists and hosts cultural exhibitions.

Continue your visit with a stop at the 18th-century Church of San Antonio Abad, featuring a splendid Baroque altar from 1787. Nearby, on a hill, you can find the remains of the Islamic wall from the 11th-century Castle of Quesa and the Ermita de la Cruz viewpoint.
