Petra Roach, Chief Executive Officer of the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA), has announced that she will not renew her contract for a fifth year, concluding her tenure in June 2025. She has informed the GTA’s management team and Board of Directors of her decision and will actively support the transition process, including the selection of a new CEO.

Since assuming the role in 2021, Roach has played a key role in stabilizing Grenada’s tourism industry amid the COVID-19 pandemic, driving visitor growth, expanding airlift connectivity, and elevating the island’s global reputation. Her leadership has helped position Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique as premier travel destinations, earning significant international recognition.

Reflecting on her time at the GTA, Roach expressed pride in the organization’s accomplishments. “It has been a fantastic experience being part of the GTA family. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved in positioning Grenada as a sought-after destination. The dedication and passion of the team have been inspiring, and I look forward to seeing the industry continue to thrive,” she said.

Randall Dolland, Chairman of the GTA, praised Roach’s contributions, calling her impact “transformative.” He highlighted her dedication, innovation, and leadership in strengthening Grenada’s global appeal. “We deeply appreciate her service and extend our best wishes as she prepares for her next chapter,” he added.

The GTA is committed to building on the strong foundation established under Roach’s leadership. The process of identifying her successor is already underway to ensure a smooth transition and continued growth for Grenada’s tourism sector.
