Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has welcomed the all-new Norwegian Aqua to Port Canaveral, Florida, where the ship kicked off her inaugural season of seven-day Caribbean voyages. Starting April 26, 2025, the vessel will sail round-trip itineraries visiting Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, Tortola, and NCL’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay, which will soon unveil major new family-friendly enhancements.

The Norwegian Aqua introduces several first-in-the-industry experiences, including the highly anticipated Aqua Slidecoaster, the world’s first hybrid waterslide and roller coaster. Additional attractions include the Glow Court, an LED interactive sports complex, and the Aqua Game Zone offering retro arcade and virtual reality games for all ages. Entertainment highlights feature "Revolution: A Celebration of Prince," a theatrical tribute to the music icon, alongside returning guest favorites like "Elements: The World Expanded."

Food lovers aboard Norwegian Aqua can indulge at 17 dining venues, including the new specialty Thai restaurant, Sukhothai, and NCL’s first plant-based eatery at the Indulge food hall. The ship also features 18 bars and lounges, including the Metropolitan Bar focused on sustainable craft cocktails. Expanded relaxation spaces such as the adults-only Vibe Beach Club and the rejuvenating Mandara Spa offer guests plenty of ways to unwind at sea.

At 1,056 feet long with a guest capacity of 3,571 at double occupancy, Norwegian Aqua is the first vessel in NCL’s new Prima Plus Class, boasting a 10% larger size compared to her sister ships Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva. According to NCL President David J. Herrera, Port Canaveral’s easy accessibility and surrounding attractions make it the ideal homeport for this exciting new ship.

After its summer season in Florida, Norwegian Aqua will relocate to New York City for Bermuda sailings from August to October 2025 before heading to Miami for Eastern Caribbean cruises from late 2025 through spring 2026.
