SEBRAE Business Rounds Confirmed for the Gramado Tourism Trade Festival
In an effort to encourage business for small companies and beef up travel destinations, for the first time in 23 years the Gramado Tourism Trade Fair (Festuris) offers the SEBRAE Business Rounds. The selected sectors are Enotourism, Fishing Tourism, Religious Tourism and Ecommerce & Technology.
In an unparallel partnership with Brazilian SEBRAE, organized by the Decide Projects company led by Luciana Thome, the Business Rounds will be held right in the fairgrounds during the course of the Business Fair, under the name Highlighted Destinations, on November 18 and 19, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
There will be two rounds on each day, lasting one and a half hour each. According to Festuris CEO Marta Rossi, this is an opportunity to close commercial ties and put the companies right in contact with potential buyers and sellers. “It’s a way to establish associations like joint ventures, technology transfers and franchises, let alone make contacts with travel agents,” says the CEO.
Luciana Thome explains that this time around travel agents will be able to get updated info on some destinations in the market, in addition to cutting good deals. “The aim is to encourage small companies to go stronger.”
Enotourism has stood out as it is a sector in the tourist activity based on trips for people who appreciate the taste and smell of wines. It´s also based on the tradition and culture of places where wine is produced. Fishing Tourism is another niche also selected for the Business Rounds.
Unlike other market segments, Religious Tourism is fundamentally based on faith. It is deeply related to the calendar and religious events from places of tourist affluence. It’s usual to designate those trips as pilgrimages.
Technology and E-commerce, or electronic commerce, is an online way to buy and sell. “This tool allows to the people to search, to choose (e.g.: model, size, color, periodicity) and the way of payment. Next step, they receive the product or service right in their homes.” Luciana Thome stresses ecommerce is nowadays widely used for those who want to buy a product and don’t have time to go to a brick-and-mortar store.
