Alaska Airlines is strengthening its service at two major hubs in Southern California, unveiling new routes and increased capacity to popular West Coast destinations as part of its ongoing commitment to growth in the state.

Beginning this fall, Alaska Airlines will introduce its 39th nonstop destination from San Diego with service to Las Vegas. Additionally, new service between Los Angeles and Pasco will commence, alongside the return of the beloved Los Angeles to Reno route. Travelers can now book these nonstop routes on alaskaair.com, with service starting on Oct. 1, 2024.

As the sole airline based on the West Coast, Alaska Airlines reaffirms its dedication to expanding in Southern California. Moreover, the airline is proud to announce expanded flights to destinations it already serves from Los Angeles International Airport, boosting capacity by over 25% to cities including Boise, Medford, Portland, San Jose, Santa Rosa, and Seattle.

Neil Thwaites, Regional Vice President of California at Alaska Airlines, stated, "As the only airline based on the West Coast, we're committed to growth in Southern California. I'm excited that we will offer our largest schedule out of the region in recent years, with our new services from Los Angeles to both Reno and Pasco, as well as increased options to the destinations our guests visit most frequently."

He added, "This new schedule also solidifies our title as the airline serving the most nonstop destinations from San Diego with our new service to Las Vegas."

Kimberly Becker, President and CEO of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, expressed pleasure at Alaska Airlines' continued expansion at San Diego International Airport and the introduction of new routes to destinations across the country.

In Los Angeles, the expanded schedule will take effect on Oct. 1, 2024, making Alaska Airlines the airline with the most daily flights to West Coast destinations from LAX.

Doug Webster, Interim Chief Operations and Maintenance Officer at Los Angeles World Airports, said, "LAX looks forward to new routes and expanded services from Alaska Airlines, adding to their existing robust portfolio of flight offerings to and from our airport."

Alaska Airlines offers a premium travel experience across its expanding network, including the most legroom in First Class and Premium Class, no change fees, multiple fare offerings, and the Mileage Plan loyalty program with the fastest path to elite status. Additionally, travelers can conveniently purchase tickets with domestic and global partners directly at alaskair.com.
