Alaska Airlines Opts for Orbitz Worldwide Private Label Solution
Alaska Airlines has selected the Orbitz Worldwide Distribution private label solution to power hotel and car rental search and booking capabilities on its website, www.alaskaair.com.
The new offering is built on iSeatz’s OneView In-Path Plus platform that allows Alaska Airlines to seamlessly offer other travel products within its primary flight booking path and checkout process, whether booked standalone or as part of a package.
Alaska Airlines’ director of website operations Karen Wells said that the solution was chosen as it delivers supplier content on a highly-customized platform, allowing its customers to find and book hotels and car rentals on alaskaair.com at the guaranteed lowest price.
Orbitz Worldwide Distribution offers a range of private label solutions, including hosted HTML services that can be launched with no upfront costs, XML solutions that allow full control of the user interface, and end-to-end custom developed XML and HTML solutions.
Recently, in an interview with EyeforTravel’s Ritesh Gupta, the online travel company shared that its Orbitz Worldwide Distribution practice has developed a new method for delivering highly customized private label solutions to its customers. The online travel company is now able to build highly-scalable, fully-customized solutions, unlike legacy template based solutions – which take a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach, according to Ronnie Gurion, president, Orbitz Worldwide Distribution.
