Amadeus Introduces Airport Express Solution for Agents

Amadeus introduced Amadeus Airport Express, a solution which enables travel agents to book international airport express service for their clients along with their airline reservation.
North American travel agents can deliver added value to their clients –and earn increased sales and revenues- with Amadeus Airport Express, which makes it easier to pre-arrange transportation to city center as easy as purchasing a subway ticket. Amadeus Airport Express allows agents to search, book and ticket partner transportation services direct from the Airline Display in all versions of the Amadeus Selling Platform.
The additional airport-to-city booking opportunity, exclusive to Amadeus clients, creates new sales opportunities that can increase sales and commissions. Further enhancing the Amadeus Airport Express solution, Amadeus announced a new partnership with KLIA Ekspres, a non-stop, high-speed train service that connects the Kuala Lumpur International Airport with the Kuala Lumpur city center.
The new partnership enables more than 100,000 travel agents worldwide to book frequent, reliable and direct airport-to-city transportation at the same time they book flights and accommodations for their customers traveling to Kuala Lumpur. The trip to the heart of the city takes 28 minutes, and KLIA Ekspres operates every 15 minutes during peak hours.
Since it entered in operation in April 2002, KLIA Ekspres has carried over 26 million passengers. In addition to KLIA Ekspres service in Kuala Lumpur, Amadeus Airport Express services are available to travel agents via local transportation partners at London’s Heathrow, Stockholm’s Arlanda and Tokyo’s Narita Airports.
