Aruba to host the acclaimed Summerfest 2003

The prestigious Symphony of the Americas will present the Summerfest 2003 festival as part of the Aruba Gala Concert on that gorgeous eastern Caribbean island on August 19.

The event –now in its tenth edition- combines cultural and artistic traditions from all around the world and will be held at the Casa di Cultura, a remodeled cultural center in Oranjestad, the nation’s capital.

James Brooks-Bruzzese, art director and general coordinator of Summerfest 2003, together with executive Renee Labone, will present the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra with the much anticipated performance of Peter Kovats as art director and conductor.

The musical repertoire will include works of Antonio Vivaldi, Gioacchino Rossini and W.A. Mozart, as well as pieces of F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy.
