Aruba Launches Restoration Crusade

Officials from Aruba´s Monument Preservation Department are setting aim at restoring all of the island nation´s historical sites between 2004 and 2006. Some of the major places scheduled to undergo an all-out refurbishment process are the former Audit Courthouse in Oranjestad, the old-timed mansion of the Ecury Family, the Hansjewild Building and the ancient Orajenstad Dam.

The latter will eventually house the island’s Sports Hall of Fame. All restoration works should be completed by the end of 2005.
