Booking.com Rolls Out Booking Experiences for Android, iOS Users

Getting to your destination really is a small sliver of the travel experience. The hard part is deciding just what you are going to do once you get there.
Travel website Booking.com announced a new way it is allowing its mobile users to discover exciting experiences lurking at their respective destination.
The technology is called Booking Experiences, and it utilizes artificial intelligence to cultivate things you might like in various markets.
As the company states, the innovation is now available in pilot phase for its Android and iOS app dedicated to Amsterdam.
Slowly it will roll out to more markets with Paris, London and Dubai said to be available at the end of July and New York City following at some point in the fall.
David Vismans, chief product officer at Booking.com, explained, “With Booking Experiences, our passion for data-driven insights, our deep knowledge of travel and our ambition to smartly infuse Artificial Intelligence technology into our product are all coming together to create a new, uniquely mobile travel experience that’s curated, seamless and personal.”
The innovation can best be described with the above image. According to Booking.com, users can scour an area and discover various landmarks to see or events to enjoy. From there you can access a QR code that grants access to said experience. And because you already have a credit card in-app then the process should be a seamless one for travelers. Booking, hopefully, is immediate and in the end a gratifying experience.
Vismans continued, via press release: “The technology behind Booking Experiences will continuously learn from your travel preferences, as well as other travellers like you, to eventually present you with increasingly curated options that are just right for you. Our ultimate goal is to keep you inspired, regardless of whether it’s your first—or fifth time visiting a particular location.”
And it’s like bypassing the queue. As the releases promises: “Booking Experiences eliminates the need to book in advance or wait in lines to buy tickets— simply show up to the attraction you’re interested in, scan the code from your smartphone and enjoy.”
More and more developers are getting into the AI game, helping travelers settle the conundrum of in-sight itineraries.
Hello Hipmunk is an innovation that previously released, which helps travelers with the problem of booking travel.
Now Booking.com is settling the frustrating dilemma of getting into myriad attractions in various cities.
Simply, this is another portal to getting the tickets you want and some that you never knew you desired. What’s remarkable is the technology is giving you a nudge based on what it thinks you might like.
