CHA President Attended Tourism Gala in Turks & Caicos
The President of the Caribbean Hotel Association Berthia Parle just visited Turks and Caicos, where she meet with the islands´s Hotel and Tourism Association (TCHTA), Government and tourism officials, and attended the country’s first National Tourism Achievement Osprey Awards Gala Ceremony.
TCHTA Director Caesar Campbell stated they were delighted to have played host to the very special guest who has done much to support hoteliers and the tourism industry across the region.
Berthia Parle, the first woman to head CHA, was presented in 2003 with the coveted Golden Conch Award to the Hotelier of the Year at the Caribbean Hotel Industry Conference that same year. She´s General manager of Bay Gardens Hotel and Bay Gardens Inn in St. Lucia
Since then the CHA President has been active with the association that has now boasts a membership that includes more than 1,000 member hotels representing 110,000+ rooms as well as 35 hotel and tourism federations from across the Caribbean.
