CTO´s 2005 Worldwide Travel Writer/Photographer Contest

The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) is welcoming entries of articles and photographs that have appeared during 2004 for its 2005 Worldwide Travel Writer/Photographer Contest, aimed at recognizing and rewarding excellence in features and photos published or broadcast about the Caribbean region.

Cost for entries will remain the same as last year at US$25 per entry for single articles and photographs and US$40 for an entry of a portfolio for Travel Writer or Photographer of the Year Awards.

The CTO indicated that each entry must include a separate completed application. There is no limitation on the number of entries submitted by one person, as long as each entry is submitted with a separate application form. (Entries cannot be grouped on one application form.)

Portfolio entries can include pieces from more than one publication. Each item of the portfolio must have been published in the 2004 calendar year and MUST be identified with the date and publication in which it appeared.

Entries should be an original copy of the article/photograph as it appeared in a print publication but may be a clear photocopy of a print or on-line article or photograph as long as it can be easily read.

All entries and respective fees must be submitted by MAIL. NO fax or e-mail submissions will be accepted.

Awards will be judged on individual merit by a panel of judges including journalism professors and individuals from various segments of the travel industry.
