CTO to Study Regional Tourism

Current trends in the leisure industry in the Caribbean region are the reason behind the meeting of 30 member countries of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) from October 10 to12 in St. Kitts and Nevis, according to an official announcement.

The State of the Industry Conference, to run under the motto "Challenges and Solutions for Regional Transportation," will review the current setting and potential of the tourism industry, which is a major hard-currency earner the Caribbean.

The CTO will review the changing situation in the travel and tourism sector at a global level and its effects on the Caribbean.

The list of high-level guests who have confirmed participation in the Conference includes Alain St. Ange, minister of Tourism and Culture of Seychelles, and Laurence Bresh, Marketing director of Visit Britain, in addition to ministers and tourism directors and commissioners, hotel managers and promoters.

With the Ministry of Tourism of St. Kitts and Nevis as co-organizer, together with the CTO, the Conference will include private business contacts.
