The 48th edition of the IPW returned for the fourth time to the revitalized, musical and cultural city of New Orleans after 14 years. The event had a huge impact of $17 billion in direct savings for the Big Easy and will add a million visitors to the region over the next three years.

The locations of the next IPW editions have been defined: 2017 in Washington DC; 2018 in Denver (Colorado); 2019 in Anaheim (California); 2020 Las Vegas (Nevada); 2021 Chicago (IL); 2022 in Orlando (Florida); 2023 in San Antonio (Texas) and 2024 in Los Angeles (California).

According to Roger Dow, president and CEO of U.S. Travel, the numbers prove the success, growth and the seriousness of the event every year.

"The U.S. Travel mission is to increase travel to the United States and we believe that our responses to threats in today's world should be informed by using intelligence, innovation and partnerships. We work to keep America as a welcoming destination for international visitors, thus ensuring an open and connected country," he said.
