Orbitz Enhances Low Price Guarantee Program for Hotels

Orbitz Worldwide said it has enhanced its Low Price Guarantee, giving customers confidence that they are getting the lowest possible hotel prices. Under the new program, customers who find their prepaid hotel room available for a lower price on any site, including Orbitz, can receive a refund for the difference and a $50 discount on a future hotel or vacation package booking. Plus, Orbitz now allows customers to submit a claim right up to the time of the property’s cancellation deadline.

In addition to the enhanced Orbitz Low Price Guarantee, customers are also covered by Orbitz Hotel Price Assurance. Under the Price Assurance program, Orbitz will send a cash refund automatically if another Orbitz customer books the same prepaid hotel room for less. Orbitz said the combination of Orbitz Hotel Price Assurance and the Low Price Guarantee provides stronger price protection than any other online travel company.

Earlier this year, Orbitz rolled out several features geared toward making booking hotels an easier process, including Total Price hotel search results that show full price per night, including taxes and fees, upfront on the initial search results page; and no change and cancellation fees on hotel bookings made anywhere in the world.
