Travel Messenger, which is designed to build powerful bonds between travelers and their online and offline travel agents domestically and around the world, is being launched at the AlwaysOn & STVP Summit at Stanford, Calif.

The company, Loop9, is headed by Steve Hibbard, former CEO of Lonely Planet and, Michael Baldwin, former vice president of Sabre Holdings. The patent pending technology, which covers 200 countries and 3,000 cities around the globe, enables travel agents to automatically provide up-to-the-minute personalized services delivered to customers’ mobile phones via proven SMS technology.
