Travel Planners International Plans Second Annual Conference at Sea

Travel Planners International will hold its Second Annual Conference at Sea onboard the Carnival Glory sailing out of Port Canaveral August 29 to September 5 for seven days of training and fun while they visit the Eastern Caribbean.

“The feedback we received from agents who attended the 2008 conference at sea was extremely positive,” said Ashley Vaughan, marketing and business development manager. “The combination of training, social events, networking opportunities and sales recognition created a truly special event.”

The theme of this year’s conference is “Unleash Your Profitability.” Independent contractors with TPI are encouraged to use their “special powers” as a travel professional to increase their sales and become more effective at selling travel.

TPI agents that are new to the travel industry as well as existing agents with years of experience are encouraged to attend the conference. The Marketing and Business Development department will be offering the following courses: Beginner and Advanced classes on its consumer website –Agenthub; New Agent’s Guide to Getting Started; Maximize your Advertising Potential; Using Travel for Fundraising & Incentives; Creating a Marketing Plan; and much more.

A number of TPI’s Preferred Suppliers will be onboard offering training about their products as well as participating in a trade show at sea. Agents will also be able to learn more about the individual preferred cruise lines, tour operators and insurance companies during nightly dinners and onboard activities.
