TRX Improves GDS Data Collection Capabilities

TRX, Inc., a leading provider of travel technology, process automation, consulting and data services, said it now provides travel agencies and technology providers with improved access to travel reservation data through the TRX Passenger Name Record (PNR) Parsing utility.

TRX PNR Parsing is the latest addition to the TRX travel utility suite that features more than 20 travel technology utilities for travel data analytics, data management, and workflow management, as well as other functions to deliver cost savings and productivity gains. Each stand-alone and independent travel utility provides powerful and flexible functionality with quick implementation timeframes to accelerate a client’s return on investment.

The TRX PNR Parsing utility empowers clients to proactively manage traveler reservations through improved GDS data collection and ensures travelers comply with travel policies by automating the pre-trip data collection process. Feature highlights include flexible, real-time, and online pre-trip reporting, customizable reporting elements to allow for the tracking of any element within a PNR, and the automatic refresh of PNR data without agent intervention or queue placement so reports are always accurate and up-to-date.

TRX PNR Parsing can be used to populate traveler security tracking applications providing all the relevant real-time data needed to properly assess a traveler’s current and planned location. Other applications of the service include augmented reporting capabilities in support of ERP and expense reporting systems.

“The TRX PNR Parsing utility delivers accurate and timely reporting to clients on traveler reservations,” said Shane Hammond, President and CEO, TRX. “Clients save money through improved traveler tracking, increased travel policy compliance, and additional insight into overall travel patterns.”
